AATCC Spring Fashion Show
at Oregon State University
The Prima Ballerina collection is a contrast of renaissance rock meets classic ballet style. This theme can be found in the corset details, dramatic sleeves, tied elements, and elegant lines.
For this project, I challenged myself by creating all of my own patterns from flat patterning techniques and apparel slopers. This was a big undertaking, but it helped me to strengthen my patterning skills and get better at making fit adjustments so that the garments fit my models perfectly. I also utilized this collection as an opportunity to improve on my 13 years of sewing experience by testing out new materials and construction techniques.
I am excited by the end result of the designs and how the apparel items, along with accessories, work together to create the prima ballerina image.

WANDERLUST
AATCC 2022 Student Design Competition "Wanderlust"
The posters below are my work for the AATCC 2022 student design competition with the theme of "Wanderlust". The goal of the competition was to design a travel wear line that incorporated antibacterial properties and sustainability. For my collection, I was able to pull from my experience studying abroad where I had the incredible opportunity to travel all around Europe. When I traveled, I was on a strict budget and could only bring one backpack with me which forced me to be creative with the items I chose to pack. I kept this in mind when researching and designing this collection--focusing on the functionality of the garments.
SEWING EXPERIENCE

13 Years of Pattern Making, Sewing, and Fitting
I discovered my passion for design uniquely when I started learning to sew in 3rd grade. Making this discovery so early on in my life has proven to be a great benefit for my educational and professional career.
Before I ever started earning my degree in apparel design, I worked for years with skilled mentors who taught me sewing, pattern making, and fitting techniques. I competed in multiple competitions with the garments I designed and made, receiving valuable feedback that pushed me, and still does motivate me to always be improving.
